FOUNDERS

KIMBERLY WILSON

Kimberly Wilson, a co-founder of Shenanigans, is the President of our board of directors and business manager. She is a wife, mom, teacher and comic. She loves to perform stand up, sketch and improv comedy and because she couldn’t find an affordable and accessible venue in Huntsville to produce comedy shows, Shenanigans was born! She feels like there should be a space where talented people from all walks of life can see their dreams become reality. Because of this, the Shenanigans monthly calendar is filled with an awesome mixture of show types and show producers. If you have an idea, she wants to hear it and try to help make it happen!

JESSICA COTTON

Jessica Cotton, the co-founder of Shenanigans, is the director of outreach for the LGBTQ+ closet, Weird Kids and The Center. She is an advocate for the weirdos and misfits of the world and is committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for everyone at Shenanigans. You can find her hosting teen meet ups and community events, working behind the concession stand, and hyping up performers before they go on stage.

Kat Wesselink

Kat Wesselink is a wife, caregiver and dog mom. She is a natural nurturer and consummate treasurer hunter. Kat can make anything shine with just a little love and a lot of elbow grease. She is huge plant enthusiast and a garage sale aficionado. She’s a passionate ally of the LGBTQ+ community and proud member of the Shenanigan’s extended family.

SiFi

SiFi was born in Brooklyn, NY. He started Stand Up comedy in 2021. His favorite Golden Girl is Sophia Petrillo and he believes Sasquatch at some point was real.

Christy Montgomery

Christy Montgomery is a local stand-up comedian. She has been active with Shenanigans since the doors opened in 2019. She volunteers regularly by helping with with fundraiser shows as well as the concessions. She is excited to be a recent addition to our board.

Foster Shamblin

Foster Shamblin also known as Dolly Bee Wellington brings the Glitz and Glam everywhere they go!

Foster is from Huntsville Alabama and is a local Drag Queen in the scene where they produce a variety of shows with Shenanigans Comedy Theatre. Foster has a passion for creating new and unique shows, not only for the public to enjoy but for the entertainment to also have an exciting experience. Foster lives with his partner Stephen who is an owner of Bee’s Beauty, a “One Stop Drag Shop”. Stephen focuses his time on creating custom wigs, and costuming for all types of entertainment. Foster creates custom jewelry pieces for Bee’s Beauty as well. Foster and Stephen are constantly perfecting their skills and knowledge on all things entertainment.

Fosters goals moving forward will be to always continue to create new shows that think outside of the box. Along with partnering side by side with Shenanigans Comedy Theatre to provide a safe space and assistance for the LGBTQ+ community.

Beth Ridgeway

During the day you can find Beth typing away for her job at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and writing articles for Rocket City Mom. At night she's performing improv with Rocket City Improv at Shenanigans Comedy Theatre. She is excited to bring her skills to help the Shenanigans Comedy Theatre board.

Akshay Ahuja

Akshay Ahuja is an Indian American comedic actor and a twice removed cousin of the Genie from Aladdin. Realizing that biscuits and butter chicken could not keep him happy ALL the time, he started performing seven years ago. In his free time, Akshay is an active member in the arts scene volunteering with several community theater organizations as well as charities. Additionally, he successfully crowd sourced funds to produce his own comedy special which was on Amazon Prime for 16 months.

Katy Ganaway

Katy Ganaway is a Huntsville native and a passionate supporter of local comedy. She serves as the program director for Huntsville's local public radio station, WLRH 89.3 FM. On her show, Arts Underground, she regularly interviews local comedians, highlighting their careers and community projects. She loves to attend a variety of Shenanigans' shows, and she feels it's an honor to be included on the Shenanigans Comedy Theatre board.

Kendra Ledlow

Kendra is a metro-Atlanta native (and proud Georgia Bulldog), spending nearly 15 years in animal welfare management including non-profit fundraising and grant writing. She moved to Huntsville in 2023 with her husband, cats, and dogs. Since relocating, Kendra works as a proposal manager as part of the business development team for a local government contracting company focusing on securing jobs for aerospace maintenance. She also recently completed her M.A. in Professional Writing at the University of North Alabama. Outside of work, Kendra enjoys reading, arts and crafts, pop music, and seeing shows at Shenanigans! She hopes to lend her experience and creativity to help Shenanigans grow and fulfill its mission.

Justin Ledlow

Justin Ledlow, a Huntsville native, is an improviser, host, and show producer, beginning his comedy journey by joining Face2Face Improv in 2010 followed by founding the stand-up comedy showcase Epic Comedy Hour in 2011. Shortly thereafter, Justin moved to Atlanta to further his career as a graphic design / print professional. He continued to pursue stand-up and improv, taking classes and performing at The Village Theatre, Relapse Theatre, Whole World Theatre, and Atlanta Workshop Players, most often with his troupe, Banshee Improv.

Like many, there was a few year hiatus from performing due to work-life responsibilities and the pandemic. When Justin moved back to Huntsville in August 2023, he was excited to return to various comedy gigs around town, but especially happy to get involved at Shenanigans. Justin has since performed in many Shenanigans shows while also producing new ones like Player You and Ultimate Improv Challenge. He has a passion for producing fun, interactive, and sometimes zany shows, and hopes to help Huntsville continue to discover the joy of comedy.

Justin lives in Madison with his wife, 2 dogs, and 4 cats. He highly recommends the sloppy fries from MK Wings on Jordan Lane.

Tera Nunez

I have been volunteering at Shenanigans for just over a year now and am extremely excited to be part of this welcoming and supportive community. This is an amazing team of people who work tirelessly to make the arts accessible to everyone and to better the lives of those in our community. I adore the out reach programs and the safe space Shenanigans provides for all. It’s an honor to be part of this remarkable group of folks from all walks of life who work together to make a positive impact in our community. I look forward to helping Shenanigans and the community grow.

Kyle Stark

Kyle is a local metal artist, Improvisor, and father to two. He has been involved with shenanigans since 2020, and is both a current board member and a member of the ensemble cast of improvisors. He is proud to support Shenanigans with his ideas, performances, and service

Laura Gooch

Laura, the Secretary of the Shenanigans Board, is originally from Dallas, Texas. She joined the board in 2023 by way of her involvement in our outreach programs. She believes Shenanigans Comedy Theater is a home for everyone, and is greatful for the opportunity to work amongst some of the kindest and most genuine souls she's ever met. Her time away from Shenanigans is spent with her family and their small personal menagerie right here in Huntsville. Don't hesitate to say hello if you see Laura, Groot, and Wolf out in the wild!

Matt Hardee

Matt Hardee is a lifelong resident of Huntsville. An avid fan of comedy, photography, baseball, and a good pun, he is excited to bring his skills to the Shenanigans board to help further their outreach and mission.
